Celebrate Deepotsav 2026, marking Diwali, India’s biggest festival of lights and a celebration of new beginnings, on November 14,from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the beautiful and historic building, De Vermaning, located at Oude Boteringestraat 33, 9712 GD Groningen (https://doopsgezindengroningen.nl/). ✨ Special Announcement: We are deeply honored to share that Mirjam Wijnja – First Deputy Mayor and Alderman of the Municipality of Groningen / Eerste locoburgemeester en wethouder van de gemeente Groningen (GroenLinks) – has kindly accepted our invitation to be the Chief Guest for the evening! This is a PURELY NON PROFIT(purely on contribution basis where the organisers are contributing as much as the guests) event and is proudly designed to promote cultural integration and build vibrant bridges between Dutch, Indian, and all other international communities, warmly welcoming everyone living in Groningen to celebrate together. This historical building is an architectural gem in the city center of Groningen, just 130 meters away from the University of Groningen's historic, Neo-Renaissance Academy Building (Academiegebouw). It has a capacity of over 200 people. We are planning a beautifully curated evening featuring a vibrant multicultural program of music, classical and regional traditional dances, and live performances. Enjoy a full-course meal included with your ticket! ✨ Explore a vibrant array of stalls featuring books, imitation jewellery, traditional Indian sweets, and engaging workshops.
